Wizkid Collabs With Shenseea & Skillibeng On New Album ‘More Love, Less Ego’
Wizkid is definitely bringing the vibes with his latest project ‘More Love, Less Ego’. Released on November 11th, 2022 this is the Nigerian-international star’s fifth studio album. The project consists of 13 songs with Wizkid showing love to Dancehall artists Shenseea & Skillibeng. The two Jamaican artists Shenseea & Skillibeng appear on the sixth track entitled “Slip N Slide”.
With Skillibeng’s raw lyrics and Shenseea’s melodic voice the two create chemistry on the track. Wizkid of course adds that amazing Afrobeats flavor as well – it truly is an amazing mix of Dancehall & Afrobeats. The song has a sexy vibe perfect for the club and nights out.
“Mi nuh inna no long talk
Come make me put it pon ya
Wet, wet, wet, slip it and slide
Set, set, set, grip it up tight
Mi nuh inna no long talk
Come make me put it pon ya
Wet, wet, wet, slip it and slide
Set, set, set, grip it up tight.”
Shenseea sings in the chorus – inciting that she is ready to make love with no small talk needed.
Wizkid and Skillibeng formed a relationship with each other prior to the release of this track. According to Dancehall Mag, Wizkid brought Skilli on stage at the Wireless Festival in the UK last July. The two met prior and were also spotted backstage after Skillibeng’s performance at the Echoplex theater in Los Angeles that summer.
In Skillibeng’s On The Radar Radio interview, he shared how Wizkid has always shown him, love.
“Wizkid has been supporting my music, everybody supports Wizkid’s music but Wizkid has been supporting my music as like a mainstream entertainer,” Skilli said. “I see flicks of him like in the club [telling the DJ] to start over my song, stuff like that, Crocodile Teeth. I’ve seen pictures of him at home in Africa vibing to my song. So I respect Wizkid, a different kind of respect, that’s my boy right there,” he continued.
Overall it is truly incredible to see Afrobeats and Dancehall artists come together to create phenomenal music and move the culture forward.
