Usher is gearing up to headline the highly anticipated 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show, an event now under the banner of Apple Music. On February 11, 2024, fans can expect the R&B legend to take center stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This momentous occasion also marks the city’s debut as the host for the grand Super Bowl showdown.

In an excited statement, Usher expressed:

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before,”

With an impressive catalog of chart-topping hits such as “U Got It Bad,” “Yeah!” featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, and the unforgettable “My Boo” with Alicia Keys, anticipation is already mounting as fans wonder which special guests might join him for this electrifying show.

Seth Dudowsky, the NFL’s head of music, couldn’t contain his enthusiasm about the announcement. He remarked:

“Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career. We couldn’t be more excited to have him headline this year’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.”

It’s worth noting that this isn’t Usher’s first Super Bowl experience; he made a memorable cameo during the 2011 halftime show, which featured the Black Eyed Peas.

This event also signifies the fifth year of collaboration between Roc Nation and the NFL. This partnership has previously delivered unforgettable performances by renowned artists like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, and a star-studded hip-hop lineup including Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.

Last year’s spectacle was headlined by Rihanna and garnered a record-breaking viewership of 113 million. The event was further enlivened by Rihanna’s pregnancy reveal, which made headlines. Notably, her brief three-second cameo showcasing a Fenty Beauty product reportedly generated a staggering $5.6 million for the brand.

In praise of the “Burn” hitmaker’s upcoming gig, JAY-Z chimed in, stating:

“Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul.”

The excitement surrounding Usher’s performance at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show is undoubtedly reaching a fever pitch.

And if that’s not enough, earlier today Usher announced his highly anticipated ninth studio album, Coming Home, will release the same day as his Superbowl Halftime performance on February 11, 2024. This will mark his first release since 2016’s Hard II Love. The LP will feature the previously released single, “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage. The track reached No. 12 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart. The upcoming album’s artwork features a shirtless Usher holding a peach behind the back of his neck. The set is currently available for pre-order on Apple Music.
