Ten Songs Turning 10 in 2025!
2024 was a year and now that it has officially come to an end let’s take this time to highlight songs that will be turning ten this year!
1. Sorry – Justin Bieber
Released on October 22, “Sorry” served as another big hit for the Canadian pop star. Produced by BloodPop and Skrillex, the single was written by Bieber, Michael Tucker, Sonny Moore, Justin Tranter, and Julia Michaels. Topping charts in thirteen countries, this banger spent seven weeks on the Canadian Hot 100 and three weeks on the U.S. Hot 100.
2. See You Again – Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth
Released on March 10, the single, produced by Charlie, DJ Frank E, and Andrew Cedar, served as a heartfelt memorial to Paul Walker. Walker passed away in a tragic accident in November 2013 in Santa Clarita, California, and was one of the leading actors in the Fast and Furious franchise. The single, written by Cameron Thomaz, Charlie, Justin Franks, and Andrew Cedar, spent twelve non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
3. Watch Me – Silentó
Released on May 5, this dance phenomenon took the world by storm, produced by Bolo Da Producer. Written by Ricky Hawk and Timothy Mingo, the craze behind this song was unmatched in 2015. It is believed that the digital media company DanceOn was crucial to the single’s success, as it allowed creators to make how-to videos on the dance.
4. Bad Blood – Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar
Released on May 17, the single was produced by Max Martin, Shellback, and Ilya and was written by Swift and Martin. The single, which is about betrayal by a close friend, was included on her fifth studio album, 1989, and features rapper Kendrick Lamar. It reached number one for one week and held the number two position for five weeks thereafter.
5. Can’t Feel My Face – The Weekend
Released on June 8, the single from The Weeknd’s sophomore studio album, Beauty Behind the Madness, was produced by Max Martin and Ali Payami. The writing credits include Payami, Savan Kotecha, Martin, Peter Svensson, and Abel Tesfaye. The single peaked at number one on the US and Canadian Hot 100 charts and was certified diamond by the RIAA.
6. Hello – Adele
Released on October 23, this ballad was produced by Greg Kurstin and written by Greg and Adele. The single achieved massive global success, topping charts in over thirty countries, including the U.S. and U.K. The video broke VEVO and YouTube records, amassing over 27.7 million views within a 24-hour span.
7. Trap Queen – Fetty Wap
Released in April 2014, this single didn’t gain popularity until mid-2015. Produced by Tony Fadd and written by Willie Maxwell, this banger became another one for the books. The single spent twenty-five weeks in the Hot 100 top ten in 2015. Although it wasn’t released in 2015 like the others, this track is closely associated with the year, as it was when the song hit the mainstream.
8. Sugar – Maroon 5
Released on January 13, the single, produced by Ammo and Cirkut, was featured on the band’s fifth studio album, V. The writing credits include Mike Posner, Adam Levine, Joshua Coleman, Lukasz Gottwald, Jacob Hindlin, and Henry Walter. The single debuted at No. 8 on the Hot 100 chart, becoming the band’s third single to debut in the top ten.
9. Hotline Bling – Drake
Released on July 31, this banger took the digital world by storm with the creation of various memes. The single, produced by Nineteen85 and written by Drake, Timmy Thomas, and Paul Jefferies, had everyone doing Drake’s rendition of the Carlton dance. Peaking at number two on the Hot 100 charts, the track spent eighteen weeks at number one on the Hot Rap Songs chart.
10. Love Me Like You Do – Ellie Goulding
Released on January 7, this track served as a staple single from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. Produced by Max Martin and Ali Payami, with writers Savan Kotecha, Tove Nilsson, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Max Martin, and Payami, the sultry single topped the UK charts for four weeks and became a chart-topper in over 30 countries.
