Ne-Yo, the Grammy-winning maestro of smooth R&B, has made a stylish return to the music scene with his latest single, “Link Up.” This suave track, produced by a talented team including Hitmaka, Cardiak, and Wu10, oozes with chilled vibes and sets the stage for Ne-Yo to showcase his signature charm. Accompanied by an official music video that you can watch below, “Link Up” marks a triumphant comeback for the acclaimed artist.

Ne-Yo, Link Up

In “Link Up,” Ne-Yo effortlessly transports us to an ’80s-flavored dreamscape, drawing inspiration from the production of Michael Wycoff’s “Looking Up to You.” With his velvety vocals and lyrical finesse, he seduces a woman with promises of the high life and champagne-soaked adventures. The track’s infectious groove and irresistible melodies are a testament to Ne-Yo’s enduring ability to craft songs that captivate and entertain.

This release comes as Ne-Yo’s first official single since dropping his eighth studio album, Self Explanatory, in July 2022. The album featured the chart-topping hit “U 2 Luv,” a collaboration with Jeremih that soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. Notably, Self Explanatory also included guest appearances by Yung Bleu (formerly known as BLEU), Zae France, and Trippie Redd, adding layers of diversity to the project.

Throughout the Self Explanatory album campaign, Ne-Yo remained a prolific force in the music industry. He embarked on a tour in the U.K. and Europe, contributed music to Starz’s “Step Up” season three, starred in a holiday movie titled “The Sound of Christmas,” and expanded his musical footprint with Another Kind of Christmas album.

In addition to his own music, Ne-Yo is actively nurturing emerging talent through his Compound Entertainment imprint. One of the artists under his wing, Zae France, recently unveiled the track “What It Do,” featuring fellow rising star Fridayy.

Fans of Ne-Yo have even more reason to celebrate as his “Champagne and Roses Tour,” promoted by Live Nation, continues to delight audiences. The tour is currently making its way through various cities, with upcoming stops in Sugar Land, Texas, Chula Vista, California, and concluding at Mountain View, California’s Shoreline Amphitheatre on October 4th. Mario is providing support during the tour, along with special guest Pleasure P, who stepped in for Robin Thicke due to scheduling conflicts with “The Masked Singer.” Thicke and Mario will later join Ne-Yo for additional concerts in October and December, with the added bonus of a performance by T-Pain.

Ne-Yo’s enduring talent and ability to evolve with the times continue to captivate audiences worldwide, and “Link Up” is a testament to his timeless appeal. As he graces us with his music once again, fans and music lovers can expect to be enchanted by the suave sounds of Ne-Yo for years to come. Watch his latest offering, “Link Up,” and revel in the smooth sophistication that only Ne-Yo can deliver.
