On Thursday, September 7th, the eagerly anticipated name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s newborn son was reportedly unveiled as “Riot Rose Mayers.”

According to the official birth certificate obtained by The Blast, the latest addition to the Mayers family was born on August 1st at 7:41 a.m. at Cedar Sinai Hospital, situated in the heart of Los Angeles. This date seemingly contradicts earlier reports that had suggested the baby’s birth occurred two days later on August 3rd.

A$AP Rocky, whose legal name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, and the Barbados-born superstar appear to have continued a naming theme for their offspring, with their first child’s name, RZA, also starting with the letter “R.” This choice hints at the possibility of a familial tradition involving shared initial letters.

Interestingly, the alleged name of the child coincides with the title of a recent track by the New York rapper, “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” which was released on July 20th. Produced by Pharrell and Tyler, the Creator, the song served as a precursor to A$AP Rocky’s rumored fourth studio album, tentatively titled “Don’t Be Dumb.”

The world caught a glimpse of Rihanna proudly displaying her baby bump for the first time during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show in Phoenix. In an interview with the NFL Network conducted before the event, the Fenty Beauty mogul hinted at the possibility of her baby’s presence, saying, “I’m thinking about bringing someone. I’m not sure. We’ll see.”

In 2022, A$AP Rocky shared his thoughts on fatherhood with Dazed & Confused, emphasizing the importance of nurturing his children’s imagination throughout their lives. He also expressed his desire to raise open-minded children who do not discriminate.

Meanwhile, Rihanna made headlines this week with the announcement of the revival of her partnership with Puma. Beginning on September 15th, the duo is set to relaunch their Avanti sneaker with a fresh design.
