Jazz Cartier Shares The Fleur Print (Deluxe)
Jazz Cartier has just shared The Fleur Print (Deluxe). Jazz, one of the earliest architects of the modern-Toronto sound, has made his thunderous return to the limelight, bringing with him the innovation and ingenuity he’s synonymous with, as well as an entirely new and refreshed sense of artistry. This album finds Jazz exploring his triumphs and pitfalls with equal urgency, accompanied by an eclectic blend of sounds and accomplished guests. Now, with an additional 5 songs added to the already gleaming tracklist, Jazz has only added to the natural allure of The Fleur Print. Songs on the deluxe like “Risk Taking” and “Need Love” delve deep into Jazz’s artistry, and give The Fleur Print even more depth and charisma. First teasing the album in 2020 with his singles, “Basement” and “Disclosure”, Jazz went on to release his Buddy-assisted single,“Two Of ‘Em” in early 2021, followed by “Nothing 2 Me” with Cousin Stizz, and “Rock The Boat” featuring KYLE. With a bundle of new and exhilarating tracks, The Fleur Print (Deluxe) is a worthy addition to the acclaimed project.
Since relocating to Los Angeles and going independent, Jazz Cartier’s creativity has only further blossomed, with the result being Jazz’s most sonically diverse and fully-realized body of work to date, The Fleur Print. This is alsothe first time Jazz has welcomed guests to a project, and his selection was nothing short of flawless. “History” featuring up-and-comer AzizTheShake arrives as one of the many standout moments on the project, with both of them performing over a completely reimagined sample of “Lovely” from Brent Faiyaz. “GLAM” is a late-night, party-ready jam that could easily be the soundtrack for an entertaining weekend, featuring a bouncy, sharp verse from Kari Faux, most notable for her contributions to the “Insecure” Soundtrack. The album’s opener, “Cuzzi’s Revenge” is quick-witted and layered introduction into Jazz’s world, a track co-produced by Ambezza, one of the producers behind Drake & Future’s smash-hit “Life Is Good”. The project reflects his personal growth and a newfound sense of comfort within the community he’s found in LA. In recent months, Jazz has also been working on launching a new men’s skincare line called, Petal Skyncare, he filmed a Diddy-produced chess show with Buddy, Tinashe, D Smoke, and others, and modeled the Italian luxury brand, Marni for Not In Paris 3. Having reemerged more focused and motivated than ever, Jazz Cartier has a lot to look forward to and doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon.
