On Monday, Maxo Kream fulfilled his promise, dropping his new project, WEIGHT OF THE WORLD. The project serves as the Houston rapper’s first project in two years following his 2019 release Brandon Banks that featured notable tracks such as ‘Meet Again,’ ‘3AM’ featuring ScHoolboy Q, and ‘Murda Blocc’ featuring A$AP Ferg.
WEIGHT OF THE WORLD stretches along 16 tracks that equate to about a 44-minute listen with features from Tyler, The Creator, Monaleo, A$AP Rocky, Freddie Gibbs, and Don Toliver. This new Maxo Kream album serves as the culmination of a rollout that started in late July featuring the three exciting tracks ‘LOCAL JOKER,’ ‘BIG PERSONA’ featuring Tyler, The Creator, and ‘GREENER KNOTS’ produced by Hit-Boy. All three tracks appear on the album.
WEIGHT OF THE WORLD is executively produced by Reggie and Teej, also boasting production credits for Tyler, The Creator, Hit-Boy, Cardo, Smino, and Kal Banx amongst many others.
While WEIGHT OF THE WORLD is only a little more than a day old, Maxo Kream’s latest album has been drowning in praise over its lifespan thus far. While it remains to be seen how long the project will remain in the listening diets of Hip-Hop fans across the world, the initial positive response could indicate that Maxo Kream’s price is about to go up. With the release of the music video for WEIGHT OF THE WORLD intro track ‘CRIPSTAN,’ lyric videos for each track plastered all over Maxo Kream’s YouTube page, and more music videos on the way Maxo Kream hopes to increase his momentum and rise to the next level of his career.
