Rod Wave Announces ‘SoulFly’ Deluxe

With the rumors swirling around the potential of a deluxe version of his 2021 project SoulFly, Florida rapper Rod Wave took to Twitter last night to confirm the deluxe’s existence. Additionally, Rod Wave dropped, ‘Time Heals,’ the first song fans can expect from the SoulFly deluxe, and pointed to Friday, August 20th as the target date for release. Lastly, Rod Wave announced the name of another project, Kut 2 Deep before declaring that he would be “gone” after its release.

While it’s unclear if Kut 2 Deep will be the name of the SoulFly deluxe or a completely separate project, fans of Rod Wave now have new music to look forward to. Additionally, the use of the term “gone” may draw confusion because it could mean a variety of things. Rod Wave declaring himself “gone” may mean that he may take a break from music, go on to work on perfecting his craft for the next project, or that he’s done with making music altogether.

While fans hope that the translation to Rod Wave declaring himself “gone” isn’t a hint at retirement, they should be encouraged by the release of ‘Time Heals’ as well as the incoming SoulFly deluxe.
