Polo G Arrested in Los Angeles on Gun Charges Ahead of Tour
Polo G caught up in trouble ahead of upcoming tour stint.
Chicago rapper Polo G was arrested on October 19 in Los Angeles after police reportedly found a loaded gun in his vehicle during a traffic stop in the San Fernando Valley. According to TMZ, Polo G (real name Taurus Tremani Bartlett) was pulled over for speeding, and a search of his car led to the discovery of the weapon.
The 25-year-old was subsequently arrested and charged with felony possession of a concealed firearm. However, per the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Polo G was released from jail on October 21. His release was cited under Section 849(b)(1) of the California Penal Code, which means there were insufficient grounds for a criminal complaint.
Polo G, who is preparing for his upcoming Hood Poet Tour kicking off on October 24, has not commented publicly on the arrest.
This is not Polo G’s first brush with the law this year. In April, he faced gun possession charges after leaving a weapon in a New York hotel room. Despite the objections from prosecutors citing his past criminal record — including arrests for kidnapping, assault, and robbery — Polo G was granted bail.
The rapper was also involved in another high-profile arrest last year when he and his brother, Trench Baby, were taken into custody during a raid at Polo G’s Southern California home. Police alleged that Trench Baby was involved in a robbery at a music video shoot in Granada Hills, and Polo G was charged with illegal possession of a short-barreled rifle. Authorities reportedly recovered multiple firearms, including rifles, pistols, and shotguns, during the raid.
As Polo G continues to navigate these legal issues, fans are anticipating his next moves, especially with his tour on the horizon. Stay tuned for updates as the rapper continues his career amid ongoing legal challenges.
