Kanye West Sued for Alleged Death Threats Against Former Yeezy Employee Over Sex Trafficking Investigation
Kanye West is being sued by a former Yeezy employee who alleges the rapper threatened his life while investigating potential sex trafficking ties to the Kardashians.
Kanye West finds himself embroiled in a serious legal battle following a shocking lawsuit filed against him by a former employee. The suit, which emerged on October 10, 2024, in Los Angeles, alleges that West threatened to kill the employee, who was hired to investigate alleged links between the Kardashian family and sex trafficking.
The plaintiff, a Michigan man whose identity has been concealed for safety concerns, claims he was brought on board in December 2022 as part of West’s now-defunct presidential campaign. Starting as Deputy Campaign Director, he quickly ascended to the role of Director of Intelligence. In this position, he was tasked with investigating Kanye’s associates and enemies, including the family of his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, over supposed ties to criminal activities, particularly alleged sex trafficking.
The allegations don’t stop there; the plaintiff also claims that West asked him to hire private investigators to follow his current wife, Bianca Censori, during a visit to her family in Australia—actions taken without her knowledge.
The lawsuit details a significant breakdown in the plaintiff’s relationship with West, allegedly stemming from his warnings about child abuse at Donda Academy, the private school founded by the rapper. After raising these concerns with senior Yeezy employees, the plaintiff says he received a threatening phone call from West, who allegedly warned him of “great bodily injury, including death,” if he disclosed information regarding the abuse claims.
The suit further claims that West sent him recordings of “scary voices” threatening harm, along with intimidation tactics from his associates. This alleged campaign of threats and harassment reportedly triggered PTSD for the plaintiff, a condition linked to his military service, which led him to seek mental health treatment.
The plaintiff’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, stated,
“Ye has only himself to blame for his mounting legal woes. He just can’t continue hiring employees, treating them terribly, then refusing to pay them in violation of numerous employment laws, let alone threaten to kill them as he did in this case.”
Zambrano emphasized the plaintiff’s fear, noting that the decision to remain anonymous stems from concerns about potential retaliation from West or his associates.
Alongside Kanye West, Yeezy LLC has also been named in the lawsuit, which seeks restitution for unpaid wages, attorney fees, and both general and punitive damages, with the total amount to be determined during the trial.
As of now, Kanye West has not publicly addressed the lawsuit or its serious allegations. This development adds another layer of complexity to his already controversial career, following a series of public missteps and legal challenges over the past few years.
Kanye West’s legal troubles continue to unfold, raising questions about accountability and workplace treatment within the entertainment industry. As the case progresses, all eyes will be on both the court proceedings and the potential implications for West’s future in music and fashion. With allegations of such gravity, the fallout from this lawsuit could resonate well beyond the courtroom.
