Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter To Star in ‘Mufasa: The Lion King Film’

It was announced that Beyoncé will be apart of the next live movie of Mufasa: The Lion King Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé’s oldest daughter, will make her feature film debut as Kiara, Nala and Simba’s daughter, in a prequel to the 2019 remake film. The movie is set to release on December 20 in all theatres. Beyoncé will be the voice of Nala and Donald Glover will be the voice of Simba as it is directed by Barry Jenkins who won the Oscar screenplay for ‘Moonlight.’

Last year, Beyonce went on her biggest world tour, Renaissance, that was joined by Blue Ivy onstage that was wrapped up in early October of 2023. She already won a Grammy for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl” from The Gift album in 2019. As of now, Beyonce holds the record for the most Grammy wins with 32 and it is determined to break more with her latest project with Cowboy Carter.

Beyonce recently released her debut album, Cowboy Carter, on March 29, that stunned the nation with her direction in music. Many people had an issue with it but as she continues to mold the industry by bridging the gap and shaping it as a stepping stone for us blacks to step outside the box with any genre.

The Lion King brought home a box-office smash earning of $192 million at the theatres in its first weekend, in which, made more than $1.5 billion in ticket sales globally.
