In a candid Instagram Live session this morning (Dec. 11), Cardi B laid rumors to rest and officially declared her single status, marking the end of her relationship with Offset.

Addressing her followers, Cardi shared:

“I’ve been single for a minute now, but I have been afraid to, like — not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world,” she stated, “I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live, I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign.”

The announcement comes on the heels of speculation fueled by the couple’s recent decision to unfollow each other on Instagram and Cardi’s cryptic social media posts. Cardi’s Instagram Stories hinted at personal growth, stating:

“You know when you just outgrow relationships” and “I’m tired of protecting [people’s] feelings… I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!”

Cardi’s comments about “today being a sign” are believed to reference Blueface’s now-deleted tweet suggesting an affair between Offset and Chrisean Rock, the ex-girlfriend of the LA rapper. Despite these allegations, Offset denied any involvement on Twitter, stating, “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady. Real talk, man, you need some help!”

Cardi B, famous for hits like “Up,” expressed her eagerness for a fresh start in 2024, saying:

“I wanna start 2024, like, fresh, open. I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I’m excited.”

The couple’s relationship has seen its share of ups and downs, including a near divorce in 2020 and Offset’s public cheating scandal in 2018. Despite these challenges, they have publicly shared moments of reconciliation and affection over the years. It’s worth noting that both Cardi and Offset recently attended TikTok’s In The Mix music festival in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday night.

Cardi and Offset share two children together, welcoming Kulture in 2018 and Wave in 2021. As Cardi embraces this new chapter, her fans are undoubtedly rallying behind her, ready to see what the future holds for the chart-topping artist.
