City Girls are back with their highly anticipated third studio album, RAW, which hit the airwaves on October 20th. This unapologetic 18-track project is a bold statement from the rap duo, showcasing their unfiltered and fearless style.

The album features a selection of previously released singles, including “I Need a Thug,” “Piñata,” “No Bars,” “Face Down,” and “Good Love,” which features the legendary Usher. It’s clear that City Girls have brought out the big guns for this album, enlisting an impressive lineup of guest artists. Lil Durk joins the duo on “Static,” Muni Long collaborates on “Emotions,” Juicy J adds his signature touch to “Fancy Ass Bitch,” and Kim Petras brings a sugary pop vibe to “Flashy.”

Speaking of “Flashy,” the collaboration with Kim Petras was teased before the album’s official release. The track delivers a catchy pop hook, with Petras singing, “Stylin’, shinin’ / I’m so flawless like my diamonds / I’m flashy / Big bags, price tags / You know all I wear is name brands / I’m flashy.”

RAW follows City Girls’ 2020 sophomore album, City on Lock, which reached No. 29 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced Billboard Hot 100 hits like “P—y Talk” featuring Doja Cat and “Jobs.” Since then, the dynamic duo has been on a roll, releasing a string of singles, including “Twerkulator” and “Act Bad” with Diddy and Fabolous. Yung Miami and JT, the two members of City Girls, have also ventured into solo territory, with Yung Miami making her solo debut in 2021 with “Rap Freaks,” and JT releasing her debut solo single, “No Bars,” this year.

City Girls recently showcased their musical prowess at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, where they performed “No Bars” and “Face Down” and were nominated for the title of best duo or group. Yung Miami also claimed victory at the awards show, with her “Caresha Please” winning the best hip-hop platform award.

Fans can expect even more from City Girls in the near future, as Yung Miami hinted at a forthcoming “reality show” during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. RAW is another feather in the cap for City Girls, cementing their position as one of the hottest acts in contemporary rap music.
