Desiigner, the 26-year-old rapper known for his hit “Panda,” has been sentenced to register as a sex offender following an incident of indecent exposure on an airplane in April, as reported by TMZ.

Instead of facing jail time, Desiigner received a two-year probation and several other conditions as part of his sentence. In addition to being added to the sex offender registry, he will be required to undergo psychiatric evaluations and submit to drug testing.

Desiigner, whose legal name is Sidney Selby, has also been sentenced to complete 120 hours of community service and has been prohibited from owning firearms, according to TMZ.

The incident occurred in April when Desiigner was charged with indecent exposure after a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis. Flight attendants reported that the rapper had exposed himself and engaged in indecent behavior during the flight, disregarding their instructions to stop.

Eventually, Desiigner was moved from his first-class seat to the rear of the plane, where he was monitored by two friends who were also on the flight. Upon landing in Minneapolis, FBI agents were present to question him.

During the investigation, Desiigner admitted to engaging in inappropriate behavior on the plane and claimed that he was aroused by one of the flight attendants, according to statements made to FBI agents. He was subsequently charged with indecent exposure.

At the time of the incident, Desiigner disclosed that he had been struggling with mental health issues. He stated, “For the past few months, I have not been OK, and I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on. While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted into a hospital. I was not thinking clearly.”
