Timing is everything and with the arrival of his new ‘COLORMAN: YELLOW‘ offering “Lately,” Kye Colors proves just that. Serving as the premiere release from the KC natives COLORMAN EP series, which was originally launched via ‘COLORMAN: RED,’ the self-produced track details the never-ending struggle creatives face balancing productivity and their personal lives.
Following a sync on Peacock‘s original series Bel-Air and his freshly inked partnership alongside ATL music power house Love Renaissance in conjunction with Wasteland Records, the talented Hip-Hop act paired the single with matching visuals directed by Kendu.
In a exclusive press statement to Medium Creative Agency, Kye gives insight on what inspired the record:
“Recently my time has been engulfed by the busy lifestyle associated with being an emerging superstar. Whether it’s family, friendships, community or my dating life, all areas have been affected. On Yellow, you’ll hear me refer to myself as The Ladies Man, The Hippie, The Light, and The Coach, as I transition into an awakening after being in the Darkness on Red. Please excuse my focus and work ethic. The love never left.”
