FKi 1st Releases Album ‘sleeping with shoes on’

Sleeping with shoes ,composed of FKi1 1st and swso, met on a few and far between rainy day in Los Angeles. This rainy day meetup inspired the start of the album ‘Sleeping with shoes on,’ an album that fuses elements of lo-fi hip hop and spacey mellow vibes.

The idea behind ‘sleeping with shoes on’ was born out of a desire to create a unique sound that would capture the essence of relaxation and tranquility. The artist wanted to explore the concept of creating music that would help listeners unwind and let go of their worries, almost like falling asleep with shoes still on.

The songs on ‘sleeping with shoes on’ are characterized by its dreamy and ethereal quality. FKi 1st and sleeping with shoes on use a mix of live instruments, including guitar, keyboard and drums, as well as electronic elements to create a soundscape that is both relaxing and engaging. It’s a reminder to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. I have been using the name ‘sleeping with shoes on’ as my artist / band name since 2007.
