‘SuperFly’ Actor Kaalan Walker Sentenced to 50 Years to Life in Prison After Being Convicted of Rape

Well, it looks like the verdict is in!

Unfortunately, it looks like ‘SuperFly’ actor and rapper Kaalan “KR” Walker has officially been sentenced to 50 years to life on Monday following an April conviction on multiple counts of rape charges. Dating as far back as 2013, Mr. Walker would use his social media platforms, Instagram and Twitter to lure women, specifically aspiring models to work with them. He posed as a photographer who would shoot them and make false promises to them such giving them opportunities and gifts. And because at the time, he was verified with a blue check, these girls would take his word.

According to People, Kaalan is being convicted for raping four women and three underage teenage girls and found guilty of three counts of forcible rape, one count of assault to commit oral copulation, two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape by intoxication.

Back in 2018, he was arrested in Van Nuys and served time after authorities discovered he was connected to several sexual assault allegations.

“When they said, ‘Stop,’ he didn’t care,’ ” Fardghassemi said at the time, according to City News Service and NBC Los Angeles.

Kaalan made his movie and film debut in Kings, starring Halle Berry and Daniel Craig, prior to appearing in the television series, In Contempt and the remake of the 1970s thriller, SuperFly. Aside from his acting career, he’s also known as a rapper and has released music to streaming platforms as well as his EP, The Intermission back in 2017 independently.

Walker, 27, is also advised by Superior Court Judge Joseph Brandolino to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
