Jermaine Dupri Confirms So So Def & Bad Boy Will Go Hit for Hit In A Verzuz Battle

There’s been much speculation surrounding two of Hip Hop’s heavyweights going toe-to-toe in a legendary Verzuz battle, and it seems as though the rumors are true. So So Def CEO and Atlanta’s own super producer Jermaine Dupri confirmed the news recently that his label will battle Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Bad Boy label on the big stage.

“I’m saying this to let y’all know that the So So Def/ Bad Boy’s Verzuz is happening!” 

It’s been almost a year since the two moguls have been entertaining possibly going against each other in a Verzuz battle, but of course they want to do it differently. Instead, the two hit-makers want their entities involved. Both So So Def and Bad Boy were formed in the early 90’s and dominated all throughout even up til the 2000’s with acts like 112, Xscape, Faith Evans, Bow Wow, Total, Kris Kross, The Notorious B.I.G., and more.

Verzuz was recently experiencing a lawsuit where both Timbaland and Swizz Beatz were suing Triller, the company they sold the brand to, for reportedly $28 million. Since then, the parties have reached a settlement and everything worked out ultimately. There’s no confirmation on when Diddy and JD’s Verzuz battle will take place.
