Quavo Seemingly Accuses His Ex Saweetie For Cheating on New ‘Messy’ Song

Things have definitely been heating up in recent months since the breakup of Quavo and Saweetie last year. The Atlanta native, who just released his joint project with Takeoff today took shots at his ex girlfriend Saweetie in a new song called, “Messy,” where he references that his former girl may have cheated on him with his ex band mate Offset in the past. As you all know, the former couple dated for 2 years before they went their separate ways in March of 2021.

At the time of their breakup, Saweetie hinted at cheating allegations on Quavo’s end, which ultimately ended their relationship, but in the new song, it seems like the narrative maybe different as Quavo claims his ex may have been the one unfaithful during their union, stepping out on him with his former Migos’ brother, Offset (who is married to Cardi B).

“I said, Caresha, please ’cause she too messy/Bih fued my dog behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’. You wanted the gang, you should’ve just said it, we would’ve blessed it,” he raps on the DJ Durel-produced track

Saweetie recently appeared on Yung Miami’s Caresha Please’s podcast on Revolt and when asked about her past relationship with Quavo, she replied:

“I’m much better than last year. I feel like I had to overcome a lot last year and I’m finally getting back to my centered self,” said Saweetie around the three-minute mark of the podcast. Asked to elaborate, she shared, “I lost someone who I loved. You know, when you think someone is your soulmate, and you don’t end up with them, it’s hard. You know, a lot of people thought that I was just having fun and the single life, but I was hurt. Like, I really loved him, and I was just doing a lot of soul searching. My problem is, I be thinking about like 10 years from now we gon’ have this, this, and that. So like when they don’t happen, I be like…my dreams be, like, shattered.”

After the fall out between Offset and Quality Control CEO, P on social media recently over his label deal situation, we now wonder if there’s more to the story behind why Offset and his former group members, Quavo and Takeoff are no longer on speaking terms. Is it because of infidelity? This also reminds us of betrayal much like R&B group B2K between Omarion and Fizz, when Fizz started dating Omarion’s baby mom, Apryl shortly after they broke up.
