Nicki Minaj Breaks Spotify Record With Single ‘Super Freaky Girl’

Nicki Minaj continue to prove why her stance in the music game is solidified and she’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Minaj released her new single “Super Freaky Girl” on August 12 and has already broken another record. The rapper broke the record for the biggest solo debut of all time by a female rapper on the Global Spotify chart (3 million) and Spotify US (1.5 million). The news was delivered after the single has already flew to number one on the iTunes chart. 

This comes after the song, which samples Rick James “Super Freak” flew to #1 on iTunes in the US and several other countries. Nicki Minaj is gearing up for her highly anticipated performance for the MTV awards where she will also be accepting her Video Vanguard Award.
