Goldie Luxx is that artist if you’re looking for a new voice with a soulful edge. The 21-year-old Santa Barbara native is here to make her mark on the music industry by introducing us to her soft alternative style with an R&B flair.

Goldie Luxx, whose name is play off her golden tresses, is dropping her new song “DRM” this Friday and also gifting us a video highlighting a love story turned toxic. Goldie details an unhealthy attachment between two people that once shared a deep connection.

Directed by Embryo in the hills of Los Angeles, the DRM visual reveals Goldie’s classy yet sexy, serious nature. In the soulful track, the experimental singer opens the door to an adventurous love affair.

Goldie’s message is clear to her partner that she knows her worth but also to the world that what has happened in the past is the past and she will not dwell in that.

When talking about her music, she says, “When people listen to my music, I want it to feel as if they’ve taken ecstasy. I want them to be able to grab a feeling they relate to in the song, and for them to want to listen to it again when it’s over!”. With influences from artists like Rihanna, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys, and Justin Timberlake, Goldie’s range of music shows how deep her talent runs.

Goldie plans to bless her fans with other soulful singles, such as “Spend Time,” featuring Big Jade slated to be released later this year. In the meantime, the DRM video will be released on YouTube on Friday, October 15.
