Teyana Taylor is calling it quits, but before she does, she wants to connect with her fans one last time on stage. The 30-year old and mother of two is gearing up to the hit the road this fall on a 12-city nationwide tour across the country. Taylor recently vented about her frustrations with her label, Def Jam and hardships in the music industry being an artist and getting her just do. Her last album, simply titled, The Album was released last year to rave reviews, but despite its critical acclaim, it didn’t receive the necessary push it needed.
In December of 2020, she hopped on Instagram Live to express her discord with Def Jam, and why she wants to be released from the label. In the same video, she explains she prefers to choose her sanity and well-being, to indulge in different facets of entertainment such as directing music videos, fashion, and helping develop other artists since she understands what its like to be one.
“Last Rose Petal…Farewell Tour.” The 12-date trek kicks off Nov. 7 in San Francisco and travels across the U.S. and Canada, with stops in Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, and New York before wrapping Nov. 30 in Atlanta. Her reality show, “We Got Love Teyana & Iman” just got renewed for a second season, and she’s recently launched her NYFW collection for Pretty Little Thing, so its clear that she’s still remaining active in other areas outside of music.
