Frank Ocean is set to headline the next Coachella Festival, according to Paul Tollett. The co-founder of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Paul Tollett revealed in an exclusive interview with LA Times, that Ocean would indeed be the starring headliner for the massive weekend festival in 2023.

The organizers of Coachella normally do not announce who is on the roster until closer to the slated time – however, Tollett wanted to reassure the fans that the “Dear April,” singer/songwriter was still headlining.

Tollett states: “Right now, it’s the Wild West. I’m just trying to be as fair as I can to artists and to the fans to make sure that eventually, they [fans] get to see everyone that we talked about.”

Initially, Frank Ocean was supposed to headline the festival back in 2020 alongside Travis Scott and Rage Against the Machine – however, the popular concert series had to reschedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This would be Ocean’s return to the Coachella stage in a decade, since his intricate and masterful performance back in 2012.

Both Travis Scott and Rage Against the Machine will be on the April 15-17 and 22-24 2022 ticket as headliners.

For Frank Ocean, performing live is a rare occurrence, his more recent was in 2017 at the FYF Festival to which critics commended the singer/songwriter as a “one of a kind” performance. Tollett agreed, stating that Ocean’s performance was “phenomenal.”
