By way of Jersey, Rasheed Chappell recently dropped a diverse five-track EP of a smooth hip hop prowess titled “15 Minutes Of Queens,” which gives perspective to his story. You might recognize Rasheed’s name from renowned media correspondent Peter Rosenberg’s backing and co-signs from multiple known names, including 38 Spesh. However, what people should pay attention to is the quality of wordplay and lyrical freedom Chappell displays on each track on his latest musical effort.

It’s a smooth, reflective, and effortless display of storytelling that’s rare in today’s current mashup of hip hop. It’s like a good mix of Nas, J.Cole, and Dave east but keeps Rasheed’s individual flair intact. The way each track plays off each other is pretty impressive and refreshing to see.

To go along with Chappell’s new EP is a scenic new visual for one of the focus tracks, “Reflections,” which has Rasheed in multiple areas of Queens that gives a unique perspective to the project and pays homage to the borough. The producer of ’15 Minutes In Queens,’ Reckonize Real, is a Queens native, so his viewpoint is illustrated throughout the visual.

Uncompromising talent and dope concepts can summarize Rasheed’s new EP. It’s a soothing listen on the ears and should be added to your daily rotation.
