After announcing two projects set for release this year, the clock on new music from Vince Staples has started. The rollout for Vince Staples’ first project of 2021 titled Vince Staples appears to be full steam ahead with Vince Staples changing his name on Twitter to read “VINCE STAPLES JULY 9th” in addition to releasing the first single for his inbound album. Not to state the obvious, but with Vince Staples’ name change on Twitter, I’m going to go out on a limb and confirm that fans should expect Vince Staples on July 9th.

Additionally, with the release of the Kenny Beats produced single, “LAW OF AVERAGES” fans now have a glimpse into what to expect on July 9th from Vince Staples. The track, also boasting production credits from Corey “Blacksmith” Smyth, Vince Staples, and Reske features a soulful sample behind Vince Staples’ adlibs, some soft percussions, and of course, Vince Staples’ lyrics. Overall, the track is a nice laid-back vibe with Vince Staples’ lyricism being pushed into the spotlight with a slow-paced flow that proves to be easy to follow.

With this being the first sample from Vince Staples, it may be too soon to place your bets on how the album is going to sound. However, if in fact, we are getting a Vince Staples album that would be less experimental than the previous two, this could be an album that further solidifies the versatility of Vince Staples, this time with the Long Beach artist rapping on more traditional Hip-Hop beats.
