The polarizing IGOR era of Tyler, The Creator’s career is now apparently over with as Tyler comes through with a new single titled “LUMBERJACK.” The new single, released on June 16th, is produced by Tyler, the Creator himself features a boom-bap beat with Tyler, The Creator rapping over it. In true Tyler, The Creator fashion, arguably the catchiest part of the song is during the hook when Tyler raps “Rolls-Royce pull up, Black boy hop out, Shoutout to my mother and my father, didn’t pull out.”

The release of “LUMBERJACK” paired with recent sightings of billboards that read “call me if you get lost 1 (855) 444-8888” point to what could potentially be the start of the rollout for the next album from Tyler, The Creator. Coming off what was an impressively successful cycle with IGOR, winning multiple awards including the Grammy for best rap album in 2020, the expectations for Tyler’s next album cycle couldn’t be any higher. However, with Tyler consistently establishing himself as one of the most creative artists in the world, there’s no doubt that he will live up to the expectations he consistently establishes and meets through the quality of his music.

The waiting game for the full picture of what Tyler, The Creator is planning for his next album cycle has now begun. With the billboards and this new single “LUMBERJACK” being released in close proximity to each other signs may be pointing to fans receiving Tyler’s next album sooner rather than later.
