Last month, LA-based Detroit-native Rob Moss released his brand new full-length album, Project X.

The project has Rob Moss’s uniquely groovy, melodic sound on full display – with an overall up-tempo sound that bleeds confidence. The leadoff track “Tuff” sets the tone for project with high energy, brass-heavy instrumental production, and Rob’s smooth R&B-inspired vocal.

The album features two singles released before the rest of the album, “Talk to Me” and “Who Up” – both of which are fun, bouncy songs perfect for the rapidly approaching summer. While Rob’s music in the past has been more focused on his struggles, Project X shows the results of his healing, celebrating his new outlook through a variety of genres.

Dancing also plays a crucial role in sharing his journey with the world. In his latest video for his second single “Who Up”, Rob is accompanied by back up dancers. The artist choreographed and practiced alongside the dancers take after take until it was perfect. In all aspects of his work, he is completely hands-on and attentive to every single detail. “Who Up” was produced by Stacy P and Ted Park, and the video was shot by Ant Artefakt. Other videos such as “No Sleep” and “Good Good Good Love” also showcase his unique choreography.

Overall, Project X is a strong showing for Rob Moss – showcasing a new more upbeat style, developing his brand, and showing his ability to create a cohesive, conceptual project.
