Best Of Kenny Beats’ The Cave

Written by

Earlier this week, one of hip hops favorite producers, Kenny Beats, announced that his viral YouTube series “The Cave” will be returning for a third season! Kenny Beats is a Connecticut born record producer. Early in his career he was apart of an electronic music duo, LOUDPVCK, but they parted ways in 2017 to explore their solo careers. Since then, Kenny Beats surged in popularity and has become legend in the hip hop world. Most known for his collaborations with artists like Rico Nasty, Key!, 03 Greedo, Freddie Gibbs, ALLBLACK, but he’s also worked with a wide range of artists of all genres. “The Cave”, which is also the name of Kenny’s studio in LA, is a youtube series where rappers of all types come by his studio and freestyle to a beat that Kenny makes in front of them. With Kenny’s incredible production talent, and his extensive network of artists/rappers, his platform has grown ten-fold. It started off as just a web show, but quickly grew to something much more. Some of the freestyles became so popular that they had to publish them as full songs. After a hilarious episode with comedian-rapper Zack Fox where he raps unorthodox bars about Betty White and depression, they decided to release a full version on streaming platforms. The youtube episode currently sits at over 7 million views and over 33 million streams on Spotify. In contrast, after the Denzel Curry episode, the duo went on to record a full album titled ‘Unlocked’. On top of preparing for season 3, Kenny Beats has stayed very busy this year. In the past few months he’s produced songs for artists like Flo Milli, Slowthai, 347aidan, ALLBLACK, on top of running a very popular twitch channel. In honor of The Cave returning, we’ve gathered some of our favorite episodes from the first two seasons to get you ready for season 3.
