After alluding his fan base of new music underway for the last month, Lloyd Banks took to social media to unveil the cover art and track list of his new project, “The Course of the Inevitable,” and unveil the date of its release which is slated for June 4th

The cover art showcases an intimate portrait of the Queens rapper holding his Junior, Christopher Loyde III’s hand in a black and white sequence. Celebrity photographer Anthony Geathers, captured the cover art, also considered the project from Banks to be a major milestone in his [Geathers] career.

The celeb photographer took to his Instagram account to express his appreciation to be part of the project, stating:

“For @lloydbanks and his team to put their trust and faith in me to create this photograph for his brand new album is the greatest honor for me as a black man and a fellow New Yorker who grew up on his music since high school. Every moment in this blood and sweat filled journey has led to this right here. Even on a socio-political level, to see black men dispelling that myth that black men are not in their kids’ lives, this was a project that was personal to me to photograph. We often hear that bullshit, and its far from the truth. From the first time a black man put a camera in my hand in grade school to right now. It aint over though. I got alot of work to get done.Cant wait for this album to come out! “

The Course of the Inevitable,” has a profound 18-tracks and star-studded guest appearances from: Benny the Butcher, Roc Marciano, Vado, Styles P, and Sy Ari Da Kid. The project within itself with go in depth with a lot of controversial topics, the journey of fatherhood, and it is assumed that the heavy-hitter will spit some bars pertaining to his departure from G-Unit (allegedly, but personally doubt it).

It has been eleven years since Lloyd Banks released a studio album, deeming “Hunger for More II” was released in 2010 whilst his last EP “Halloween Havoc III: Four Days of Fury,” back in 2016. Back in January, Banks dropped a single called, “Element of Surprise” which was featured on the soundtrack to the movie “Conflicted.”

Banks also released a trailer for the new album, allowing spoken word artist Rashawn Brown to narrate the downfall and inclination of life. You can see Brown standing on the rooftop of a building overlooking New York City in black and white. There was a slew of captures that highlighted children, cemeteries, and a mural of Big L. At a closer glimpse, Lloyd Banks name is written in cursive on the side of a building – presuming it is at his old stomping grounds in Queens, New York.

By the end of the three-minute trailer, Banks appears outside adjusting his hooded top.

The Course of the Inevitable,” will release on all platforms on June 4th. It is available to pre-save.
