In 2018, Florida rapper Ski Mask The Slump God took the rap game by storm with his high energy bars, rapid-fire flow, and unique pocket in every beat. Throughout 2018 Ski Mask The Slump God fans were treated to three projects, two being mixtapes titled, You Will Regret and BEWARE THE BOOK OF ELI followed up by his well-received debut album STOKELEY which notably peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart. Since then fans of Ski Mask have gotten very little music from him with only two singles, “Carbonated Water” and “Burn the Hoods” being released in the span of a year and a half.

However, things appear to be looking up for Ski Mask The Slump God fans with the Florida rapper beginning to appear on more songs such as “Soda” with DJ Scheme, Cordae, and Take A Daytrip. Most importantly, Ski Mask’s latest appearance on Lil Gnar’s “NEW BUGATTI” featuring Chief Keef, DJ Scheme, and of course Ski Mask could hint at the drought being over. This of course was confirmed by Ski Mask The Slump God himself on Twitter where he typed, “I’ll Have The Project Cover And Tracklist To You Guys Before This Month Ends” followed by “Sin City The Mixtape Dropping In June.”

After listening to Ski Mask’s feature on Lil Gnar’s “BUGATTI” one thing appears to be clear, The Slump God’s rapping is where it was in 2018 and has been deeply missed. Now fans and critics wait to hear if the wait for Ski Mask’s return was worth it.
