In what seems to be an arms race for the summer, the Atlanta rap trio Migos have officially thrown their proverbial hats into the ring. The quest has begun to once again spark the magic that led them on to have one of the most incredible runs in recent Hip-Hop history, notably highlighted by their smash hit “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert as well as their albums “Culture” and “Culture 2.” Also somewhere in that timeline from 2017 to 2019 are individual albums from Quavo, Takeoff, & Offset, as well as collaboration projects in the form of Quavo’s effort with Travis Scott “HUNCHO JACK, JACK HUNCHO,” and Offset’s joint effort with Metro Boomin & 21 Savage, titled “Without Warning.”

All of this sets the stage for a highly anticipated new project from the Migos titled “Culture 3,” with all signs pointing to the possibility that it could be the most critical project in their discography. While there is no release date for the full body of work, fans are now able to get a taste of what to expect with the announcement of a new single titled “Straightenin” scheduled to drop on Friday, May 14th. The release of this single could hint at the start of a potential rollout for “Culture 3” ending the three-year wait for new music from Hip-Hop’s favorite rap trio. Now, fans, critics, and possibly the Migos themselves are in a waiting game, on the edge of their seat to witness if the Migos can do their part in making it feel like 2017 again.
