Coming off his highly underrated 2020 effort “Anyways,” Atlanta rapper Young Nudy is back in the fold with his new project titled “DR. EV4L” scheduled to be released on Tuesday, May 18th. The tracklist which was released on May 8th boasts features from Philadelphia’s Lil Uzi Vert, Nudy’s cousin 21 Savage, and Chicago’s own G Herbo with production from notable producers Coupe and 20 Rocket, both of whom have production credits on Young Nudy’s previous project “Anyways.”

For the rollout, Young Nudy’s track featuring G Herbo titled “2Face” serves as the lead single before the album’s release this upcoming Tuesday. The track produced by Coupe and Mojo Krazy pairs a serene melody with hard-hitting 808s and bass before sporting a well-executed beat switch towards the end of the track. If this song is any indication of the sound fans can expect for “DR. EV4L,” I would say this coming album could serve as the next iteration of the sonics found on “Anyways,” an album that in hindsight may be pointed to as the album Young Nudy put everything together musically.

While this “2Face” single featuring G Herbo gives fans great insight into the direction of the sound Young Nudy’s next project appears to be trending in, we won’t know for sure until we hear the entire album in about a week or so. Regardless, fans of Young Nudy should be excited for new music from the Atlanta rapper, with the hope that “DR. EV4L” doesn’t fly under the radar like its predecessor “Anyways” did.
