Although there has not been much information in regard to the album’s context, it is a safe assumption to say that it is going to be momentous due to the collaborative effort with Swizz and DMX. The album will also be under Ruff Ryders/Def Jam Recordings, which X has not worked with Def Jam in nearly two decades.

The late rapper also released two singles days prior to his passing, one being “X Moves” with legendary acts Bootsy Collins, Steve Howe, and Ian Paice. The second single, “Been to War” features Swizz Beatz and French Montana, which is slated to be on Showtimes hit series “The Godfather of Harlem’s” third season.

Alongside the album to be released, DMX will also be featured in an exclusive and intimate interview on TV One’s “Uncensored,” on May 16th. This is allegedly the last interview DMX did prior to his passing on April 92021. As the world continues to grieve over one of the greatest lyricists and kindred souls to bless this earth, it will not be the last time to appreciate his legacy.
