Published

on

26-year-old Terrius Mykel is a multi-talented director, videographer, entrepreneur, creative director, and music manager out of Atlanta. Between his very own production company, his female-focused grips & electric company, his own streaming service, creative studio, and his latest venture, New Order Records – this man can’t be stopped.

Terrius Mykel made a name for himself when he started directing music videos for artists in Atlanta in 2015. Through his next-level creativity, attention to detail, and lots of hard work Terrius has developed an incredibly impressive portfolio of music videos that reads more like a who’s who of hip hop – having directed videos for Meek Mill, Gucci Mane, 2Chainz, Young Dolph, NLE Choppa, Rubi Rose, Yella Beezy, Luh Kel, Jucee Froot, Yungeen, Mulatto, Kevo Muney, The-Dream, Skooly, Money Mu, and plenty more. Today, his production company and creative studio, New Order Media, is known in Atlanta and around the industry for creating top-of-the-line, gold-standard hip hop music videos – with all the quality, flash, and luxury that we’ve come to expect from top-shelf visuals.

It’s safe to say that Terrius officially arrived in the mainstream back in 2019 with the release of Gucci Mane’s “Backwards” featuring Meek Mill – an over-the-top, high rolling visual packed with all the trappings of luxury hip hop, fit for two of the most infamous and beloved characters in hip hop.

It was shortly after that Terrius received his first official Gold-certification for directing the visual for Luh Kel’s smash hit, “Pull Up” –  which today sits at over 22M views on Youtube.

Not only has Terrius continuously leveled up, becoming one of the most highly sought after directors in the game – he’s also passionate about creating opportunities for newcomers to enter the music industry. One example is Atlanta Grip Group – a full service, female-focused grip & electric based in Atlanta offering a wide array of equipment rental and grip services. By creating a majority-female workforce at AGG, Terrius hopes to help bring more women into the entertainment and production industries by developing valuable behind-the-scenes skills in a historically male-dominated industry.

On the creative and video production side, through Terrius Mykel Studios, he’s developed a creative studio to help connect up-and-coming creators with the resources they need – whether that’s studio space, photo or video equipment, lighting, podcast studio, and more. Under the same umbrella, he’s also launched his own streaming service containing a variety of high-quality, original content produced by Terrius Mykel that you can’t get anywhere else. The platform hosts a bunch of really cool content – including exclusives music videos that were never released to the public, live performances from talented up-and-comers, mini-documentaries of your favorite professional athletes (starting with Zion), and never before seen behind-the-scenes footage showing the process of planning, filming and producing high-end visuals for some of your favorite artists.

As if he wasn’t busy enough, Terrius’ latest venture is New Order Records – where he is trying his hand (and succeeding) at managing rising talent. Most notably, he played a key role in signing blossoming star, Rubi Rose, to HitCo – the LA Reid-founded emerging powerhouse that has quietly grown several stars in recent years including SAINT JHN, Dixie D’amelio, and Yella Beezy. Terrius was the driving creative force behind Rubi Rose’s biggest track to date, “Big Mouth” – which has 14M Spotify streams and almost 16M views on Youtube – in addition to being the creative director for her collaboration with Playboi Carti, “On Top” – which was streamed over 3M times in its first week.

In addition, Terrius has also been working with rising female-spitter out of Atlanta, Ona The M’fn O – most recently directing the visual for her hard-hitting track, “Foxy Brown.”

Through all his hard work over the years, Terrius Mykel has positioned himself as a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry. Not only is he a talented director, he has a keen eye for musical talent and creative direction – in addition to creating opportunities for up-and-comers to find their way in the industry. The blossoming entertainment empire of Terrius Mykel is definitely one to keep your eye on.
