Eminem ‘Verzuz’ Battle With DMX Could Be In The Works

The “Rap God” is reportedly down to battle the New York rap legend, according to N.O.R.E. On Monday, the “Drink Champs” podcast host took to Instagram where he claimed that DMX and Eminem are prepared to face off as part of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Instagram Live series.

This matchup would be perfect but DMX has his eyes on another popular rapper to battle, Jay Z. During a “Drink Champs” episode earlier this month, DMX revealed JAY-Z as his first choice for an opponent. “That would be battle number three,” said DMX, whose rivalry with Hov dates back two decades.

Fat Joe weighed in on the potential battle between X and Em. “DMX got the biggest hits in the world, one of the greatest rappers of all time. Legendary. Iconic. Superhero. And everything I’m saying is understated. He’s bigger than that,” Joe said, according to Complex. “But there’s something about that white boy and his fans. Nah, bro. You wanna see some crack in the Internet? He’s gonna crash, ni**a. That n***a is carefree, bro.”

It’s uncertain if a DMX vs. Eminem battle will actually materialize. Meanwhile, Swizz has teased other potential Verzuz pairings including Snoop Dogg vs. Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J vs. Ice Cube, and Usher vs. Justin Timberlake.
