MyGuyMars Celebrates 20 Years of Musical Genius With Exclusive 41st Birthday Party in Santa Monica

Grammy-nominated producer, songwriter, and 1500 or Nothin’ alum MyGuyMars marked a massive double milestone last Saturday—his 41st birthday and 20 years in the game—inside the state-of-the-art FameCast venue in Santa Monica. Family, friends, and heavyweights from across the industry came to honor his undisputed talent, for a night packed with live music, heartfelt tributes, and surprise appearances.
Mars has a résumé speaks for itself: from early days with the 1500 on Nothin’ collective to crafting hits for Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Babyface, Ty Dolla $ign, Faith Evans, Mýa, and T.I., he’s been behind some of the most memorable records of the past two decades. Taking the mic, Mars honored those no longer here, including bandmates and Nipsey Hussle.
“I’m honored and grateful to still be here,” he said. “I love seeing people win and helping them reach places they never imagined.”
The City of Los Angeles presented Mars with a Proclamation recognizing his impact on music and culture, highlighting his role as both a creative force and a mentor.
“There aren’t too many people who provide opportunities for passionate creatives, and when they do, it’s mostly transactional,” he told the crowd. “I’ve seen so many sides of the industry that can make people discouraged. I’m glad I can keep encouraging people while teaching them what I’ve learned and being that bridge.”

Looking ahead, Mars is focused on expanding into tech and education while raising the next generation—starting with his six-year-old son, already making beats. With immersive visuals, signature cocktails, and an atmosphere of fellowship and timeless memories, the night proved what his career already has: MyGuyMars’ influence reaches far beyond the studio, and his next chapter is just getting started.
