Doechii Addresses Criticism Regarding Her Team’s Experience at the Met Gala

Over the past week, a lot of people thought Doechii was being tough on her team before she hit the Met Gala, but she really appreciates all they do. Now that she’s made it big, she’s under constant scrutiny, and unfortunately, the negativity has been relentless. It seems like ever since her GRAMMY win, the vibe around the Florida rapper has shifted a lot.

The people have been pushing the idea that she’s an industry plant, according to HotNewHipHop, especially with her old track ‘Anxiety’ blowing up on TikTok and Instagram. Another hot topic is her comment about straight men being a major red flag, which some took way too seriously. But as we mentioned, Doechii has made her mark, and the criticism is only going to ramp up.

Adding fuel to the fire was her controversial behavior right before the Met Gala this week. A video went viral showing her seemingly scolding her assistants at The Mark Hotel. However, her frustration was actually directed at the crowd in the lobby. In one clip, it sounded like she was caught off guard by the paparazzi eager to snap early shots of her outfit.

Naturally, she wanted to keep her look under wraps, leading to her team rushing to shield her with a wardrobe screen. To make matters worse, her hair was styled in a way that couldn’t get wet, so she insisted on having at least ‘four f*cking umbrellas’ to protect her big afro. Things didn’t go as planned, but Doechii insists her team did nothing wrong.

Honestly, she had nothing but great things to say about her team’s work. According to The Shade Room, she responded to the videos and the criticism by posting a short clip with a humorous caption that poked fun at the whole thing. It read, “God forbid a girl needs more umbrellas☂️😂” as she shrugged in front of the camera.

She also took a moment to thank her assistants, saying, “All jokes aside, I’m super proud of my glam team and the LV crew for an amazing night!” She expressed her excitement about being there and added, “Everyone did an awesome job. We totally nailed the theme and had a blast☂️.”
