Ari Lennox Leaves Dreamville, Continues to Work With Interscope Records

Ari Lennox starts off fresh with Interscope Records.
Ari Lennox enters in her “soft girl era” with partnering with Interscope Records and leaving Dreamville. She had felt that she wasn’t putting out music the way she had would like to and tired of being the mental advocate artist. As Lennox starts fresh with Interscope, she is listed as the only label with her new single. Sources say the split was friendly and drama-free.
Earlier this year as J. Cole hosted Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina as the fifth and final one. Ari had performed at the festival where she thanked Cole and the team by giving her a chance in 2015. As she is embracing on a new direction with her latest release, the track is a soft yet playful sound with the sample of New Birth’s 1972 song “You Are What I’m All About.”
Fans have been vocal about missing the soulful side of Ari in her Shea Butter Baby era. That doesn’t stop her by diving into a new creative direction by reflecting the healing, shifting, growing into a new space era.
We can’t wait until we see what Lennox will be creating by having Interscope behind her.
