Tyla Makes Her Coachella Debut with Enchanting Aaliyah Cover and Becky G Performance

Coachella has just wrapped its first weekend, and Tyla made her mark bringing the energy for her first ever performance at the annual music festival in Indio, California.
On Friday, Tyla made a stunning debut at Coachella, per ELLE, rocking the stage in a perfect summer outfit. She sported a sparkling gold bikini top paired with a white crop T-shirt that casually slipped off one shoulder. Her look was completed with stylish Dolce & Gabbana red and white bottoms adorned with black fringe, torn fishnets, and chic leopard print mesh boots from Burju. To top it off, she accessorized with a belly chain, wrist bangles, and large hoop earrings.

Tyla had some exciting surprises for the crowd, including a mashup of her hit “On and On” with Aaliyah’s “Rock the Boat.” She also brought Becky G onstage to perform “On My Body,” with Becky rocking a white and yellow bralette and matching shorts, complete with ripped details and Dalmatian print faux fur boots from 1XBlue.
Recently, Becky G honored Tyla with the Impact Award at the Billboard Women in Music event. When asked about the significance of “impact” on the red carpet, Tyla expressed, “YYou never know how something you say or do—a lyric, a performance—might ignite in someone else, and what they, in turn, will pass forward to another person. So I feel very lucky—for my fans, my Tygers, who have given me such an exciting life, allowing me to share and grow into all the different versions of myself as an artist and as a woman.”

During her Coachella performance, Tyla took a moment to shout out to the “Tygers” by spray-painting a giant tiger statue with her name in bright green. She wrapped up her set with a rendition of her hit “Water,” showcasing her famous viral dance moves.
Tyla was also spotted jamming to Uncle Waffles’ banger ‘Zenzele’ which will make you want to get up and dance — whether you’re chilling in bed, lounging on the couch, or working at your desk — swaying your hips to that catchy beat.
Just after her Coachella debut, you might think Tyla would kick back and relax. But nope, the superstar was like, ‘Hold my drink, I’ve got more dancing to do.’ And dance she did! With a crew of South African pro dancers, Tyla took to the floor and showcased some slick moves, totally vibing to the amapiano track.
