Sexyy Red Claims Title of “Most Hated Female Rapper,” Cites Record Labels as a Factor

Sexyy Red asserts that she’s the “most hated female rapper” and believes record labels play a major role in this presumption.
In a recent chat with the iconic radio host Big Boy, the 26-year-old opened up about her critics and the underlying tension that fuels this idea.
“I feel like I’m the most hated female rapper. Like, they hate on me the most. I get a lot of love, but I know when they be hating on me. They be hating on me. It be like little inside s**t,” Sexyy mentioned around the 27-minute mark.
The “SkeeYee” artist added, “They trying to put me down. I be feeling like, ‘Is y’all sending people to comment under here?’ I feel like it’s some hidden agendas… It could be labels. I just be feeling muthaf**kers be tryna bring me [down]. Like they don’t like seeing me win and I be seeing people say that in the comments. Like ‘Why do y’all hate her so much? She just be chillin’.”
Big Boy chimed in, recalling the moment he first “fell in love” with her music. He pointed out that sometimes people just hate for no reason at all.
“There are people that’ll hear a song and sometimes, people don’t even listen to everything. They’ll look at something and they’ll hate it,” the 55-year-old explained. “They’ll look at the packaging and they’ll hate it… So, with society, we hate first sometimes, but when I saw [you on The Shop], how can you not f**k with her?”
Sexyy, who has faced criticism for her explicit lyrics and self-described “ratchet” persona, is puzzled by the backlash since she sees herself as a good person. But she warns not to push her limits.
“I’m not even an evil-hearted person, so why would you wanna do me like that?… I will beat the f**k outta you, but don’t bring that outta me,” she joked. Check out the full interview below.
