Homecoming For The Culture

Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of empowerment, culture, and celebration at Homecoming For The Culture, an event that shines a spotlight on the incredible Black women shaping the entertainment industry. Mark your calendars for an afternoon of insight, music, and networking that you won’t want to miss!

This special event, taking place at SOB’s in New York City, will be a two-part experience designed to both inspire and entertain. It all kicks off with the first-ever TrailblazHER panel, featuring a powerhouse lineup of influential women in entertainment, followed by the highly anticipated Homecoming Afterparty, where the energy will continue into the evening.

From 2 to 4 p.m., you can catch the TrailblazHER panel, a curated conversation that celebrates Black women’s unparalleled contributions to entertainment. Hosted by the dynamic King Silvy, TrailblazHER will provide an inside look into the careers of five industry leaders, each forging their own path and inspiring the next generation of talent.

  • Jeanine McLean, President of MBK Entertainment, has helped launch and elevate the careers of some of the biggest names in music.
  • Simone Parker, CEO of Front Page Entertainment, is a visionary who’s leading the charge in music and culture.
  • Dr. Garland Thomas McDavid, CEO of Brooklyn Lab Charter School, bridges the gap between education and entertainment, empowering future generations.
  • Chanel Rae, Co-Founder of Legion Media Group, is shaping the future of digital media and content creation.
  • Jamila Mustafa, Host of MTV Fresh Out Live, brings her vibrant personality and voice to the forefront of the entertainment scene.

Homecoming Afterparty: Music, Vibes, and Networking

After the panel, the real fun begins! From 4 to 9 p.m., get ready to dance the night away at the Homecoming Afterparty. DJs Soul Sugar Joint and Chvmeleon will be taking over the decks, spinning a mix of Hip Hop, RnB, House, and more, ensuring that the energy remains high throughout the evening.

But that’s not all – enjoy happy hour drink specials, indulge in delicious brunch options, and make meaningful connections with like-minded people. Whether you came for the panel or the party (or both!), you’ll find yourself immersed in an atmosphere of celebration, culture, and community.

In addition to the inspiring conversations and unforgettable fun, a portion of the event’s proceeds will go towards organizations that support Black women in entertainment. By attending, you’re not just celebrating the culture—you’re helping to pave the way for future generations of trailblazing women.
