Travis Scott Faces Lawsuit Over Security Guard Assault Claims

Travis Scott faces a new lawsuit.

A guy named Omar Muhanna is taking Travis Scott to court, claiming one of the rapper’s security guards hurt him badly. However, Travis’ team is calling the lawsuit nonsense.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Muhanna says he was outside a concert venue where Travis was performing when a security guard got physical with him. He insists he didn’t do anything to provoke the situation, which he says occurred on August 17, 2024, in Manhattan, leaving him with serious and lasting injuries.

Travis was at Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center that day, but Muhanna claims the incident took place just a few blocks away. A representative for Travis stated that he wasn’t even there, as he was inside a restaurant when the alleged incident happened outside.

The lawsuit doesn’t accuse Travis of any wrongdoing besides hiring the security company that employed the guard involved. Travis’ team is dismissing the lawsuit as “frivolous.” Muhanna argues that the security guard has a history of this kind of behavior and believes Travis shouldn’t have hired him in the first place, so he’s looking for damages.
