Halle Bailey is back with new music, and this time, she’s ready to make a statement. The singer-actress dropped her latest single, “Back and Forth“, today (Feb. 14), marking her first release since “Because I Love You” in August 2024.

The smooth, R&B-infused track was produced by Needlz and co-written by Halle and her sister, Chlöe. The song’s melody is a mix of airy harmonies and sultry vocal runs, creating a hypnotic, love-struck atmosphere. With its dreamy production and emotionally charged lyrics, “Back and Forth” feels like a late-night confession wrapped in a slow, intoxicating groove.

Halle first teased the single on Instagram on Feb. 11, sharing the cover art featuring her lounging in a white bra top and flowing maxi skirt. The pink-toned setup, complete with a red, lips-shaped curtain, perfectly matches the song’s romantic theme. Fans immediately flooded her comments with excitement, hoping the new release signals a full solo project in the works.

Since stepping into her own lane outside of Chloe x Halle, she’s been steadily building momentum. Singles like “Angel” and “In Your Hands” have showcased her range, while her collaboration with Chlöe on “Want Me” for Trouble in Paradise proved that the sisterly bond is still strong.

Beyond music, Halle has had a whirlwind year. She starred as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, a role that earned her praise and solidified her star power.
