Asian Da Brat, previously known as Asian Doll had to set the record straight after Kash Doll’s recent interview with Shannon Sharpe started making waves. Kash spoke on the “Doll” trend, claiming it’s “her wave and her brand.” She mentioned DreamDoll, Asian Doll, and Cuban Doll when discussing other rappers using the name. That didn’t sit right with Asian, and she had some words for her.
Asian Doll didn’t hold back, spilling tea about Kash’s alleged issues with DreamDoll. In a video captured by TSR, she claimed Kash never had problems with her or Cuban. “Kash Doll never had a problem with me and Cuban, ever! And we been Dolls,” Asian said, making it clear where she stands.
She accused Kash of once trying to hang with them while secretly throwing shade. “She always used to be on our d*** trying to come to the studio,” Asian claimed. However, she said she never clicked with Kash because she felt Kash was always hating. “She was too old for that!” she added.
Asian also alleged that Kash didn’t like DreamDoll, thinking she stole her rap identity. She said Kash was pressed about Dream going from bartender to rapper. “You did not start this Doll wave,” Asian stated firmly. She made it clear that she’s been Asian Doll and already had the fans on lock.
While speaking with Sharpe, Kash Doll expressed frustration over comparisons to other “Dolls.” She questioned why so many female rappers took on the name after she did. “Just picture I been doing this all this time, and now it’s all these Dolls,” she explained. Kash made it known she sees herself as the original.
When Sharpe asked if she wanted to be the only “Doll,” Kash confidently responded, “I am!” That response clearly struck a nerve, leading to Asian’s heated reaction. The debate over who truly started the “Doll” trend isn’t new, but the tension is rising. One thing’s for sure—this isn’t the last we’ll hear about it!
