Kendrick Lamar Set to Appear in Exclusive Apple Music Interview Ahead of Super Bowl Performance

Kendrick Lamar is gearing up for a rare interview just before he takes the stage at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

On Thursday, February 6, K.Dot will chat with Ebro Darden and Nadeska Alexis during the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show press conference, kicking off at 10 AM CT.

Then, on Sunday, February 9, Kendrick will perform at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans where the Philadelphia Eagles face off against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ab-Soul recently hinted that something exciting is in store for the show, but he kept the details under wraps.

In a mysterious post on X last week, the TDE rapper said, “LISTEN… I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A FT FROM FREE,” referring to Kendrick’s longtime manager, Dave Free.

“SMFH. I JUST SHED A TEAR. DEAD HOMIES. SUPER BOWL LIX. HISTORY!!! @pgLang x @TopDawgEnt.”

Many fans took this as a sign that Ab-Soul—and maybe his Hippy pals ScHoolboy Q and Jay Rock—might make a surprise appearance during Kendrick’s much-anticipated performance.

SZA has already been confirmed to join Kendrick on stage, and while there were rumors about Tyler, The Creator possibly showing up, he has since clarified his involvement.

Kendrick hasn’t said much about the Super Bowl yet and, according to HipHopDX, has been pretty quiet since last year, even after his rap beef win over Drake, the success of “Not Like Us,” the release of his chart-topping album GNX, and his historic wins at the 2025 Grammy Awards—making his upcoming chat with Apple Music even more exciting.
