Cardi B and Pardison Fontaine are back in the booth together, and fans are buzzing about their new single, Toot It”, set to drop this Friday, February 7, via Hitmaker Music Group.

Fontaine, who hasn’t collaborated with Cardi in nearly a decade, took to Instagram on Tuesday to finally announce its release. “It’s been 8 years @iamcardib get this song off my hard drive n they keep asking for this!!! Im dropping it 2/7!!!!” he wrote in his post, hinting at the long-awaited collaboration. Cardi wasted no time co-signing the excitement, commenting “FCK IT LETS GOOO!!!” under the post.

This isn’t the first time Cardi and Pardi have joined forces. Back in 2018, the duo delivered the club banger “Backin’ It Up”, which they performed at the BET Hip Hop Awards that year. The track went on to peak at No. 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and cracked the top 20 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Beyond their collaborations, Fontaine has played a major role in Cardi’s career, co-writing several of her biggest hits, including the game-changing “Bodak Yellow”.

Last April, the New Jersey rapper-songwriter hinted that he and Cardi were back in the studio, sparking speculation about new music. Now, with “Toot It” officially on the way, fans are eager to see if they’ll recapture the same magic from their last collab.

“When I f–k with two people and I like two people, I stay out of their sh-t,”

While fans are hyped for the new drop, some are questioning Cardi’s decision to work with Pardi, given his high-profile relationship (and breakup) with Megan Thee Stallion—someone Cardi has publicly supported since the beginning. The internet quickly erupted with debates, accusing Cardi of being disloyal.

Not one to let rumors spiral, the “I Like It” rapper hopped on X (formerly Twitter) Spaces to shut down the chatter.  She made it clear that both Megan and Pardi know she remains neutral, adding that she doesn’t want to be dragged into anyone else’s drama.

With the controversy swirling and the track already generating buzz, “Toot It” is shaping up to be a must-listen. Stay tuned for its official drop this Friday!
