Atlanta-based hip-hop artist YFN Lucci shared video and photos of his reunion with family after being released from prison.

“I’ve learned a lot during my time away,” YFN Lucci said. “I’m incredibly grateful for my family and friends who stood by me. Now, it’s my turn to give back. I want to use my voice, my platform and my music to inspire those who look up to me. I want to show people it’s never too late to make a change.”

Attorneys, Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, Gabe Banks and Pat Dixon, issued a joint statement confirming his early release on parole.

“He is overjoyed to reunite with his children, his family and his music,” they said. “He will waste no time releasing new music and getting back on stage to perform for his fans.”

Bennett served a year in prison after pleading guilty to one count of violating the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act. He was sentenced to 20 years with 10 to serve but was eligible for parole after four months, with credit for time served.

He was initially charged with murder in January 2021 after police said he was the driver in a gang-related drive-by shooting that killed a man.

According to WSBTV’s Bennett will be on parole through Jan. 2031. He must live with his mom, submit to drug tests, stay away from gang members and refrain from any gang activities.

“For me, this time is about growth, redemption and purpose. I’m excited – there’s so much more to come,” he said.

His label, Think It’s a Game Records, released images and a statement to mark his return. To celebrate, 20 of his closest friends and family gathered at The Vault inside The Bank Event Center.
