DaBaby Makes History with Sold-Out First Annual ‘Billion Dollar Baby Bash’ in Charlotte, Featuring Sexyy Red, 50 Cent, MoneyBagg Yo & More
DaBaby made a monumental move in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, by selling out the Spectrum Center and hosting his first-ever large-scale concert, the annual “Billion Dollar Baby Birthday Bash.” The night was a straight-up celebration of hip-hop, energy, and family vibes, with legends and newcomers alike taking over the stage.
The inaugural “Billion Dollar Baby Birthday Bash” was a straight banger, bringing together some of the biggest names in hip-hop. The crowd was wild for multi-generational stars like Sexyy Red, Boosie, Moneybagg Yo, and of course, the man of the hour, DaBaby. The real showstopper? When 50 Cent stepped in to drop classic tracks like “P.I.M.P.” and “Magic Stick.” Fans described the performance as bringing that “Vegas-style energy” to Charlotte—straight fire.
The star-studded roster didn’t stop there. DaBaby brought out North Carolina’s own Toosii and Stunna 4 Vegas, plus Skilla Baby, Rob 49, BigXthaPlug, Big Boogie, YTB Fatt, and Trap Dickey, while soul singer Anthony Hamilton brought a different vibe to the stage. And to top it off, Gillie Da Kid and Wallo, hosts of the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, kept the crowd hyped all night long.
This event comes hot on the heels of DaBaby’s latest moves. He’s been pushing the culture forward with his hit single “HIM,” the hilarious and visually iconic music video for “PHAT” (which flips Eddie Murphy’s The Nutty Professor), and his wild appearance on Sundae Conversations with Caleb Pressley. Oh, and don’t forget his album, HOW TF IS THIS A MIXTAPE?, which just made its debut on the Billboard 200. DaBaby is out here, still proving he’s a force in the game, setting trends and breaking barriers.
And it’s not all about the music for DaBaby. He’s been making major moves in the community too. His fourth annual ‘Kirk Pole’ holiday event at Garinger High School gave back in a big way, with resources for the community, a live drumline performance, and more. DaBaby also launched the DaBaby Cares initiative in honor of his late brother, Glenn Johnson, focusing on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. This year, he partnered with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas, hosting the first-ever Youth Town Hall at West Charlotte High School and giving students resources for better mental well-being.
DaBaby’s philanthropy doesn’t stop at the local level either. He’s also been a standout at global events, like his surprise appearances at BigXthaPlug’s “Take Care” Tour and Dreamville Fest alongside 50 Cent. Plus, during Charlotte’s Lovin’ Life Festival, he shared the stage with Post Malone, Stevie Nicks, and Noah Kahan, proving he’s got the versatility to rock any crowd.
