Diddy Strikes Again! Another Lawsuit Announced
Harlem-born music executive Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs who is currently awaiting trial for a slew of charges has been hit with another lawsuit for sexual assault this time, a babysitter.
According to the Rolling Stone, Combs is facing a new Jane Doe accuser who alleges the mogul drugged and sexually assaulted her when she was 16-years-old. Jane Doe claims she was walking home from a babysitting gig in lower Manhattan in late August or early September 2000 when the incident occurred.
She goes on to say she was a part-time babysitter at an apartment building where “a well-known woman whom the defendant was in a relationship [with] also resided.” The lawsuit filed in Manhattan does not name the famous woman. However, Diddy and Jeniffer Lopez dated publicly during that time.
The plaintiff says as she was exiting the building on her way home which was around the corner she encountered Sean sitting in an SUV with the door open. The lawsuit claims “Combs engaged her in conversation, asking where she was going so late at night, and that it was not safe for her to be walking alone,” She says that despite denying Combs offer to take her home the mogul persisted eventually convincing her to get inside his vehicle.
The lawsuit continues “Getting into Combs’ car that day was something the plaintiff would come to regret forever.” During the ride Jane Doe says she became uneasy as she noticed they were not taking her home as promised. She alleges that Diddy gave her a drink to ‘calm her down’ however she soon became groggy and unsteady.
It is alleged that a male driver and another male were in the vehicle during the altercation. However, the men are not identified in the lawsuit. She says that eventually she was driven to a location where she was sexually assaulted by Combs. Jane Doe says after the ordeal she was then driven home and left in the lobby of her building by the driver.
This lawsuit is one of at least 40 that have been filed within the past 16 months with sexual assault or misconduct allegations against the mogul. However, Combs’ legal team denies the woman’s claims. In a statement to Rolling Stone, Diddy’s team stated:
“No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted, or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor,” the legal team said in a previous statement shared again today. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court.”
