Diddy Saga Continues as Lawyer’s Fight to Prove his Innocence
Diddy, born Sean Combs, continues to fight to prove his innocence in this sexual lawsuit battle. The mogul claims to have proof that can debunk the allegations made by the alleged victims.
According to Meghann Cuniff, Combs’ lawyers assert that the “Freak Off” videos submitted in his ongoing sex trafficking case ironically serve as proof of his innocence. In a motion filed by Diddy’s attorney earlier today, they revealed that they are requesting electronic copies of the prosecution’s videos.
In the motion, they wrote: “The nine videos at issue are the so-called ‘Freak Off’ tapes with Victim-1 that the government has repeatedly referenced, causing wild speculation in the media. Contrary to what the government has led this Court and the public to believe, the so-called ‘Freak Offs’ were private sexual activity between fully consenting adults in a long-term relationship.”
The attorneys made it clear in the motion that “there are no secret cameras, no orgies, no other celebrities involved, no underground tunnels, no minors…” which would debunk several claims made by the alleged victims in this case.
They also pointed out the most important detail: there is “not so much as a hint of coercion or violence. The videos show adults having consensual sex, plain and simple.” Diddy is still in custody as he awaits his trial, which is set to begin in May on charges related to sexual abuse, violence, and trafficking.
Amidst this lawsuit, the Harlem native is also facing multiple civil suits. The most recent, filed on January 13, accuses the rapper of raping a 16-year-old babysitter.
